How Medicated Substance Abuse Treatment Works

Have you or a loved one struggled with addiction?

Have you tried to get treatment, only to relapse later?

Medicated-Assisted Substance Abuse Treatment Options Are Available

If individual or group counseling hasn’t put you on the path to recovery, there are medication options available. Medicated-Assisted Treatment or “MAT” is a combination of behavioral therapy techniques and medications to treat substance use disorders.

Michigan Psychological Care offers Medicated Substance Abuse Treatment in Alma, Michigan and Clinton County, Michigan

We have two facilities that provide medicated substance abuse treatments

Medicated Substance Abuse Treatment in Alma, MI – Gratiot Psychological Services

Medicated Substance Abuse Treatment in Clinton County, MI – CCMC Psychological Services

Part of the difficulty for people with substance abuse disorders is the process of “going dry.” If you or a loved one have been using opioids for a long time, the challenges of trying to get clean can be extreme. Medicated Substance Abuse Treatment works to alleviate the pain and physical difficulties of withdrawal symptoms.

How Does MAT Work?

We like to think of this as a “whole-patient” approach to treating addiction. Along with individual and group counseling sessions, medication-assistance has helped increase the success rate for addiction recovery.

You have more control over the treatment process, allowing you to take more control of your addiction. Traditional counseling sessions help heal the mind, while medication assistance allows you to focus on getting better without having to suffer through withdrawals.

How Much Does A Medicated Substance Abuse Treatment Program Cost?

Most MAT programs are covered by insurance. With the passage of the Affordable Care Act, “addiction” was no longer classified as a “pre-existing” condition. With help from insurance, “cost” shouldn’t be a reason to avoid getting help for yourself or a loved one.

Our facility will bill your insurance and your services will be subject to your insurance benefits.  We will do a preliminary benefits check on your behalf, but you are always able to contact your insurance company with more specific questions.  Our reception team will be more than happy to guide you and offer help.
